Exploring Art Museums Continued

by Erin on January 9, 2012

I didn’t quite get all of the sites I wanted in yesterday’s post - you know, the one with the wildly creative title Exploring Art Museums - so here is a continuation of some of my favorites. With notes of course.

Metropolitan Museum of Art | The Met is just one of those museums that you have to visit!

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston | This museum site is an engaging combination of great graphics and useful information about art - highly recommended.

Museum of Modern Art | No list of the world’s best museums would be complete without a mention of MoMA…

National Gallery, London | This compelling museum features a fabulous collection Western European painting.

National Gallery, Washington D.C. | The National Gallery site is, quite simply, a treasure - there is so much information here, including an amazing database of American art.

Philadelphia Museum of Art | Whether you are interested in Asian, European, or American art, this is a wonderful museum site.

Tate Gallery | The Tate Gallery houses some of the finest works of British art.

Uffizi Gallery | The famous Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence features a breathtaking collection of Renaissance art.
