About
Welcome to Mythography!
Let’s begin with the traditional “About the Author”.
Hi there! Let me introduce myself. My name is Erin, and I’m a writer with a degree in art history. I’ve been going on about myth and art online since around 1996-97. Incidentally, I’ve been using the nom de plume Karyatid for a while on Mythography now, so I’m going to continue here with the blog.
Now, here is some information about the site.
Mythography is composed of three parts. There are articles, blog style posts, and a forum. The articles are organized in a system that I developed for my site years ago. The posts are a bit more casual. I sometimes write about the books I’ve recently read, or words that intrigue me because they have a connection to mythology. The forum has been around for years. It contains a wealth of information from people who are passionate about myth.
About those categories…
The categories are hopefully pretty self-explanatory. Books includes book reviews. Et cetera is the catch all category. You will find a lot of posts about works of art, as well as some of my musings about myth.
